Introduction

Hi!  For those of you who do not know me, my name is Melissa......I am the youngest of 3 girls in my family.  I am in the middle of this picture.  My oldest sister Shelly is on the left and my sister Melany is on my right.  We are a very close knit family, but like everyone life seems to get so busy you don't take the time you should to get together more often!


I've always wanted to start a blog because I consider myself pretty crafty and creative.  I love to inspire others to make their own gifts or to learn a new hobby that they have never done before.  I have a lot of creative hobbies to include scrapbooking, photography, crocheting, wood working, and card making to name a few.  I think for me the best way to learn was from others.  I have watched a ton of YouTube videos after being determined to learn how to crochet and have came to realize that if you want to learn how to do basically anything, there is probably a video on YouTube to show you.  :)
Besides crafting I work full time as a 911 dispatcher.  I starting out doing this job over 11 years ago but switched to Corrections working in the Jail for the past 9 years and now just this past year went back to my 911 Emergency Dispatching.  Being cross trained has a lot of advantages and knowing both sides to each job makes me more understanding when certain high stress situations arise.

My real passion in life is my husband and 2 kids.  Tom and I have been married for 18 years and we have a daughter Stephanie who turns 16 on January 27th and a son Jeremy who is 13.  Tom is co-owner of Blazek Contracting and together with his brother and nephew they have 21 Fed Ex Routes in Minnesota and North Dakota.  They are the largest contractor in the upper Midwest. I am very proud of my husband for his hard work and for his family values.   His family always comes first in his life and I admire that in him.
